Any one know if Mexican cafe is open for dine in now. Tried calling number. Says out of service. Hope so...this spot is great.

They have it Saturday $14- $16 & Sunday $15- $17. They have a kids price but I forget the age & price. 10 A.M.- 2 p.m.
How's the menudo?
The menudo is the best restaurant menudo I've ever had!! I don't usually order menudo at restaurants because I've been disappointed SO MANY TIMES. But my daughter LOVES menudo like I do but, unlike me, she doesn't like eggs so when we go to a Mexican restaurant she ALWAYS orders menudo and I ALWAYS taste it. 9.8 times out of 10 I'm glad I didn't order the menudo. But at Uptown Mexican cafe it's the first thing I eat. And I try to fit in a 2nd bowl but the rest of the buffet is too darn good and I end up too full.
Has this place closed? I went by today at 6:30 and it was closed.
If it was Tuesday then it was closed.

My wife and I ordered the Flautas and they were delicious. Everything was seasoned well from the chicken in the Flautas to the rice and beans. The chips and salsa are delicious as well. The service was on spot, kept our drinks filled and kept our chips and salsa filled as well. Definitely will recommend to family and friends. We will be coming back for sure.

Authentic Mexican food, nice service, chips and salsa are great, as well as the menu as I ate the “El Jefe†and nice location in Downtown Whittier, CA.
